The chefs definitely did not let themselves be limited by known flavour combinations and cooking traditions. Nor did the interior designer. Alongside a multi-layer wooden floor, the warmth of real wood recurs in the block-patterned accent wall. The rustic look of this wall covering reflects the rebellious side of the star kitchen.

The Barn collection is a contemporary range of cleaved oak flooring. Here it is processed into 9-by-9-centimetre square blocks. Characterised by their unruly character, pleasing structure and striking wood grain, they add dynamics to interiors. For smooth installation, Lalegno supplied planks of 14 cubes long and 2 cubes wide, with tongue-and-groove system.
